WAL’s newest tenants, Magpie Alchemy!

By | Magpie Alchemy, UC Clients

With months and months of learning, growing, and planning, our beloved client and most favorite handcraft skin care makers are ready to shine bright as they become the newest pop-up tenants at the WAL Public Marketplace! We were blessed with the opportunity to support them in their journey of refreshing both their web, product design, and in their brand launch event.

About Magpie Alchemy:

Magpie Alchemy is a Labor of Love. They have a passion for science, art and creating. What better way to express this, than soap making. Their goal is to take charge of their health and the chemicals they expose themselves and their family by creating small batch, handcrafted soaps.

Their logo represents US. The triangle in Sacred Geometry represents, Earth, Sky and Human but also, Mother, Father and Child.  The blue feather represents transcendence and spiritual evolution and there is nothing better to represent that than their beloved daughter, Maggie or as they lovingly call her, Magpie. They hope you all enjoy our products and can feel all the love they put into them.

Science + Alchemy + Creating is what they LOVE.

Show your love and support every Friday to Saturday from 11am – 7pm and on Sundays from 11:00 am – 6:00 pm at 1104 R Street in beautiful Sacramento, CA.

UnchARTed Presents: Fashion With A Purpose

By | Arden Fair

Under the UnchARTed public art program, Arden Fair teamed up with the Sacramento Kings to  bring together four local artists to create masterpieces on white high-top Nike Airforce 1’s. Each artist was responsible for creating a design that aligns with the different Sacramento Kings jerseys and Sacramento in general .

The designs on the custom sneakers were meant to celebrate our city, celebrate our local artists, and to show that we’re all united and Sacramento Proud. The public was able to bid online for the sneakers from 4/2 – 4/13 and all proceeds from the auction benefitted the Men’s and Women’s Leadership Academy (MWLA), a youth program in the Sacramento City Unified School District. MWLA is SCUSD’s effort to provide low-income students of color supportive learning environments.

PELE: In Our Skin // #100WOMENPROUD

By | Pretty In The Chaos

In February, Pretty in the Chaos launched #100WOMENPROUD campaign, inviting women to share their stories about their journeys in their own skin, the trauma, the triumph, their growing love and acceptance of self.

Here is what Pretty in the Chaos has to say about the campaign:

“We were blown away with each and every submission. All women were profoundly courageous and living in their truth and humanity. We read every single word expressed and found so much interconnectedness.

There’s a story behind every photo, a journey behind every scar, a struggle unseen, a beauty often forgotten. Our voices are vital to our spirits’ survival and we want to share our learnings and our wisdom around bodies with our sisters through photo stories.”

We welcome you to visit the exhibit in our UpperCloud office and to join the movement as the PITC tribe continues to accept submissions.

Exhibit [open to the public]

4.27.19 through 5.20.19
